Julia N. Estrem
Julia N. Estrem is dedicated to helping families and individuals make decisions on their estate planning needs. Prior to becoming an attorney, Julia provided personal care to individuals often in their later stages of life as a home health aide. This experience helped her develop a passion for her current work. Through both observation and personal experience, Julia saw first-hand how a well-crafted estate plan can give comfort to individuals and their families. She personally experienced the familial discord that can come from the lack of death planning and understands the importance of and how to help navigate difficult topics and complicated issues related to estate planning.
Julia pursued her passion at the University of St. Thomas, School of Law and had the opportunity to gain early practical experience while helping client’s in the school’s Elder Law clinic. There, she conducted client interviews, prioritized client issues, researched the law and provided clients’ with information on how to reach a resolution. In addition, she collaborated with a multidisciplinary team to ensure the whole of the clients’ needs were met.
Since law school, Julia has worked in private practice providing services in estate planning and probate. She takes the time to ensure her clients know what their legal options are and that they understand how these options will affect not only their future but the future of their families. Julia consistently strives to find the best possible solution for each individual client’s unique legal situations all while providing a sensitive and easy to understand approach.
In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with family and friends, boating, binge-watching netflix, and reading World War II books.
