Nathan J. Reigstad

Nathan ReigstadNathan Reigstad’s focus is on business law, estate planning, probate, and real estate.  Nathan graduated from William Mitchell College of Law.  He graduated summa cum laude from Southwest Minnesota State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration, finance focus.

From an early age, by observing his father, an estate planning and probate attorney in rural western Minnesota, Nathan was drawn to planning and problem-solving. It was at SMSU that Nathan’s fascination with business law, estate planning, probate, and real estate became his career calling as he found he excelled in finance and tax, fields that dovetail with Nathan’s specialties in law.  Nathan has seen that clients’ goals cannot be achieved without a strong understanding of finance and tax.  His exposure to and proficiency in financial planning has better prepared him to serve clients as he understands their ever-changing expenses and income as well as the flexibility that estate plans must have.  Nathan also worked at the SMSU library’s reference desk which further reinforced his desire for a consultative career; he saw how fulfilling it is to be trained in the knowledge that many people need and to be able to explain often complex issues in an easy-to-understand way.  Nathan feels blessed to be able to carry on his reference desk work by helping clients in their time of need, explaining the law and their best options to them.

Following law school, Nathan worked in his father’s law practice for over one year, gaining significant experience in estate planning, probate, and real estate.  In our law office, Nathan appreciates the ample opportunities to interact with clients and develop relationships with them.

Nathan enjoys spending time with family, running, boxing, cooking, cheering on the Vikings and the Wild, and making his way through the Criterion Collection.
